The Late Captain Thomas McQueen to travel along the Highway of Heroes this Wednesday

The late Captain Thomas McQueen, of Hamilton Ontario will journey along the Highway of Heroes this Wednesday.

capt-thomas-mcqueenHe died on November 28th in Saskatchewan on a routine training mission in a CF 18 fighter jet. He had served in the Canadian Military for 10 years. His funeral will be in Hamilton at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum (9280 Airport Rd. Mount Hope) on Wednesday December 7th. His remains and funeral procession will depart Hamilton at 1.00 PM on Wednesday December 7th. The destination is the National Military Cemetery at Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa, (280 Beechwood Ave, Ottawa, ON K1M 8E2).

The OPP will escort the procession as follows:

Depart War Plane Museum at 1.00 PM and head for the 407 East bound towards Toronto, Join up with the 403 East bound in Mississauga, Connect with the 401 East bound in North Mississauga, Follow the 401 east bound to the 416 North at Prescott. Follow the 416 North to the 417 Eastbound to Ottawa.

Although all times are an approximation: it is anticipated that the procession will travel through the following communities:
